Aurora Scares Snot Out Of Laplander!

By Steamboat McGoo

Not too shabby, eh? This is the Aurora Borealis somewhere or the other. I don’t think it’s in Haiti, though. I think the article tells where – but I’m not giving away the secret. Or maybe it was the Themis article – here. Who knows?

Anyway – Spring is the time for the Aurora – which means now. I wish Missouri would buy some. I’d kinda like to see it before Man depletes this non-renewable resource.

Here is a technical diagram and chart:

As you can see – all five THEMIS datasets (A, B, C, D, and – oddly enough – E) agree within my ability to discern. So that point is settled. There is a flux rope in there somewhere, but no landing pramis is visible.

Read the articles for more information and some residual facts I left out – just to tease you, y’know.

Here is another great photo – by Bjorne Jorgensen, about whom you heard me say nothing.

And another – just because.

And finally – here is the technological terror that is investigating this interesting phenomenon:

Here is some porn.

Thank you! I have to say I’m not hitting on all cylinders lately.

I’m looking for a rich, juicy science blockbuster I can really sink my teeth into it and snark the shit out of it!
